Communication is the cornerstone of our work with you.
Transparency is how we achieve that end.

Planning, Designing, and Estimating
Once we all agree that Lewis Creek Builders is a good fit for your project, we get to work on your vision of home. This period of exploration and refinement is important and can seem a bit daunting . It can also be an incredibly fun time to explore possibilities, to be creative and approach the project from many angles.Once we have identified the scope of your project we put together a comprehensive estimate for your review. This is no ordinary estimate. Some project estimates can have up to 150 line items with each item representing a component of your project. This is our commitment to transparency at work for you.
We build your project on paper with labor and materials assigned to every element of the work. We want you to fully understand your project. We then review and revise this budget with you until you are satisfied. This is also the time when we make our agreements with and commitments to each other.
Through the entire project we regularly review your budget with detailed records of what we have completed to date, how much it has cost to that point and where we are with respect to completion on-time and on-budget.
Rough-In to Finishing
After preparing you to the best of our abilities for the realities of your project, we start making it a reality. We approach your home with great respect and go to great lengths to maintain cleanliness and as high a quality of life as is possible if you are living in your home while we are working. This is an exciting time when your vision comes to life. There will be dramatic days where it seems heaven and earth literally moved. There will be also quiet days where behind-the- scenes work was done with no great dramatic changes. This is the life cycle of the project. The work in this Phase occurs in 2 periods of time:
- "The Rough-in Period"
- "The Finishing Period"
Rough-in period: This refers to the period from demolition to framing getting installed, electrical service being set up and plumbing lines being run. This is the phase when things are taking shape quite literally-- "roughly". Finishing Period. This is the time when the insulation gets installed and the sheetrock gets installed. Following this the cabinetry, flooring, trim detailing both inside and out happen. In addition it is when your various kitchen, bath and living space fixtures get installed. This is the time when you really get a sense of your new home. Things are no longer looking "Rough" , they are moving toward looking "finished".
